Good things actually do happen in the Capitol Rotunda. New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez proposed to his girlfriend, Alicia Mucci, in the Capitol Rotunda on Monday, Politico reports. The couple announced their engagement at the White House’s congressional holiday ball (how fun?), and then went out to a private dinner (actually fun). Menendez, 59, is divorced, but much more scandalous: Mucci is not registered with a political party.
