Despite President Trump’s attempt to attack Nordstrom for severing its ties with his daughter Ivanka’s clothing line, the luxury retail chain’s stocks have climbed more than 7%, according to CNN. Trump lashed out at Nordstrom with a tweet Wednesday morning, claiming the store had treated his daughter “so unfairly” by deciding to no longer carry clothing and accessores from her fashion label. The company, for its part, said the decision was rooted entirely in poor sales performance for the brand but, nevertheless, Trump and his surrogates proceeded to claim Nordstrom had “directly attacked” the president’s policies. According to CNN, the company’s stock took a slight dip after Trump’s tweet before rebounding to the $46 mark on Thursday, a welcome change from its $42.65 price before the attack.
