Look at the bright side, A.J.: at least you’ve broken into national markets. A.J. Clemente was fired Monday, after muttering “f--king s--t” into the mic on his first day on North Dakota’s KFYR-TV. Clemente was practicing pronouncing London marathon winner Tsegaye Kebede’s name when he swore—not realizing his mic was on. KFYR acknowledged that Clemente did not know the mic was on, but said “that is no excuse” for his behavior. The rookie news anchor took the termination in stride, tweeting that he will make sure not to trip on his “freaking shoes” again.
