North Korea announced Friday morning that it would be pulling its staff out of a key liaison office with South Korea. The office, which is located on the North Korean side of the militarized border, was a meant to be a central point in negotiations between the two countries. Representatives from the two Koreas have not met there since the failed summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The office was meant to be staffed by 20 people from North Korea and 20 from South Korea. North Korean staff will vacate the office on Friday. South Korea “expressed its regret at the decision and is urging staff from the North to return as soon as possible,” according to the BBC.
