NY Ranger on Spitgate: It Was an ‘Accidental’ Loogie

Facing possible suspension for spitting in a player’s face, New York Ranger K’Andre Miller said Monday that it was “completely accidental.” In a statement posted to Twitter, Miller said, “I would never intend to do something like that on purpose, it goes against everything I am as a person and player.” Miller received an automatic penalty after a replay showed him spitting in the face of Kings defenseman Drew Doughty on Sunday night in an incident that will be reviewed by the league.
