The three residential buildings that make up the Trump Place apartment complex in the Upper West Side of Manhattan are set to ditch Donald Trump’s name in an effort to appeal to future and current residents. According to NY1 reporter Grace Rauh, the Trump name will disappear from 140, 160, and 180 Riverside Drive, because the owner believes a “neutral building identity” will better maintain the residential lot’s reputation. Several weeks before the presidential election, in which Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, The New York Times reported that data shows homeowners have become increasingly wary of buying property in buildings bearing the reality-TV star’s namesake.
