At least one lawyer thinks former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel ought to be allowed to run for mayor. A day after an Illinois appellate court kicked Emanuel off the ballot because of residency questions, his former boss has weighed in. Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to President Obama, told Good Morning America that the president thinks Emanuel—who had been a frontrunner for the job—should qualify. Emanuel is appealing the 2-1 decision to the state supreme court.
