Elon Musk Trashes Dana Carvey’s ‘SNL’ Impression of Him

NOT AMUSED

Elon Musk had some choice words for Saturday Night Live after Dana Carvey imitated him on the show.

“Check it out, Dark MAGA,” Carvey said in his impression, jumping up and down. “But seriously, I run the country now.”

The joke was in reference to Musk at Donald Trump’s MSG rally, where he called himself “dark, gothic MAGA.” But Musk wasn’t too amused by the sketch on SNL this weekend.

“Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey,” Musk wrote on X.

The sketch was a part of the show‘s cold opening, where SNL cast members jokingly praised Trump and said they voted for him in order to stay off his enemy list.

Carvey continued his imitation of the billionaire who widely supported Trump’s campaign, saying: “America’s going to be like one of my rockets. They’re super cool and super fun, but there’s a slight chance it could blow up and everybody dies.”

Musk posted that the show has been “dying slowly for years.”

Musk then brought up Kamala Harris' cameo on the show before the election, which required the network to give Trump ad spot in accordance with the FCC Equal Time rule.

“Their last-ditch effort to cheat the equal airtime requirements and prop up Kamala before the election only helped sink her campaign further,” the post read.

Musk also commented that the show was mad that Trump won.

Musk had hosted SNL in 2021. At the time, many cast members were unhappy with the decision.
