Ohio voters on Tuesday approved a ballot measure to legalize recreational marijuana, according to numbers compiled by the Associated Press. The vote makes Ohio the 24th state to do so. The measure is set to become effective in 30 days and will allow anyone over the age of 21 to possess and purchase the drug. The initiative, called “Issue 2” on this year’s ballot, will not expunge the criminal records of those who have been convicted of marijuana-related offenses.
