Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s alleged FaceTime lover Olivia Nuzzi has broken cover at a Hollywood party attended by a high-profile director, amid speculation she could write a tell-all about her explosive private life.
The 31-year-old New York Magazine reporter had not been seen for weeks, ever since allegations surfaced that she had become the digital “lover” of the 70-year-old thrice-married nepo-baby. Nuzzi’s fiancé, Politico reporter Ryan Lizza, dumped her when the story broke.
Having skipped Washington D.C., where she is involved in a bitter legal battle with Lizza, she emerged at a high-glamour dinner in Los Angeles on Thursday with the director Ava DuVernay.

Nuzzi attended the “Work Friends” dinner in L.A., hosted by the fashion brand Argent. DuVernay, actress Kate Mara and other female journalists also attended the event, which was branded by Argent as featuring “trailblazing women” who “challenge the status quo.”
Nuzzi was previously featured in Argent’s 2019 campaign. Nuzzi posed with Laura Brown, the former editor-in-chief of InStyle, in an Instagram photo posted by Brown.
Nuzzi was recently put on leave by New York Magazine for allegedly sexting Kennedy. Nuzzi, a political journalist, profiled him last year for the magazine. Since her “relationship” with Kennedy was revealed in September, Nuzzi has kept a low public profile.
Kennedy has denied the affair, though court documents between Nuzzi and Lizza claim that Kennedy told Nuzzi he wants to “control” and “impregnate” her. Nuzzi filed for a no-contact order against Lizza, and alleged that he tried to blackmail her. Lizza has denied these claims.
RFK Jr. and his wife of 10 years, Cheryl Hines, were seen holding hands at the funeral of Kennedy’s mother Ethel earlier this week, and at the Al Smith dinner on Thursday night.
