Iranian heavyweight Ali Mazaheri said he was disqualified because the match was fixed, although the International Amateur Boxing Association said the boxer had received three warnings before he was disqualified. Japanese bantamweight Satoshi Shimizu’s team is also appealing a match where Shimizu believed his opponent should have had three warnings against him—which would have resulted in disqualification.
