The First National Bank of Omaha announced on Thursday that it would cut off its ties with the National Rifle Association, as the gun-rights organization comes under renewed scrutiny in the wake of the mass shooting in Florida. The bank said it will not renew its contract with the NRA, which allows for the bank to issue NRA-branded credit cards. A spokesman for First National told the Omaha World-Herald that the bank acted based on “customer feedback.” First National is the country’s largest private bank.
