Omarosa Book Excerpt: Trump Has ‘Mental Decline That Could Not Be Denied’

In a the first excerpt from her upcoming book, UNHINGED: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House, former Trump communications staffer Omarosa Manigault-Newman writes that while watching the president’s May 2017 interview with NBC News’ Lester Holt, in which he admitted to firing James Comey because of the Russia investigation, she “realized that something real and serious was going on in Donald's brain,” adding, “His mental decline could not be denied.” Because she knew Trump from her time as a contestant on The Apprentice, Manigault-Newman “knew something wasn’t right.” The former reality TV star, who was forced out of the White House late last year, expressed similar concerns about the state of the Trump administration on Celebrity Big Brother this past February, telling housemate Ross Mathews, “It’s so bad.”
