Six women have been found dead in wooded or rural areas in a 100-mile area of Oregon and Washington since February—two of them on the same day. It’s not clear if the victims, all under 40, are connected, and the cause of death has not been released for several. But Oregon Live reports that at least one, JoAnna Speaks, 32, was beaten to death. Investigators are still trying to identify one of the women, who was found near an interstate in Portland on April 24.
