Michael Bond, the creator of the beloved children’s character Paddington Bear, has died at the age of 91, his publisher said Wednesday. He died in his home Tuesday following a short illness. Bond introduced the world to Paddington in his first book in 1958. Since then, the bear has gone on to star in 20 books, a television series, and a film.
