On Wednesday, Sarah Palin joined Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz, and others at a rally the tea-party Stop the Iran Deal rally in Washington, D.C. She took a pause from the deal-bashing to spare a moment for praising cops—and to call #BlakeLivesMatter activists “dogs.”
“Oh, and, you know, since our president won’t say it, since he still hasn’t called off the dogs, we’ll say it!” Palin said, whipping up the crowd. “Police officers and first responders all across this great land, we got your back! We salute you! Thank you, police officers!”
Palin was referring to people across the country who have been protesting police brutality and calling for criminal justice reform. (As you can guess, several prominent #BlackLivesMatter activists were not thrilled with Palin’s choice of words.)
Her speech caps off a busy summer for Palin, which has included fervently defending the Duggar family, attacking Lena Dunham, interviewing Donald Trump for a few minutes, and having her video network go bust.
