Pamela Anderson: Julian Assange Is ‘So Misunderstood’

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Pamela Anderson said WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is “misunderstood” and in danger at London’s Ecuadorian embassy. Assange has been “cut off from everybody” after the embassy took away his internet connection, the actress said. “The air and light quality [at the embassy] is terrible because he can’t keep his windows open and he can’t get any sunlight. Even prisoners can go outside, but he can’t,” the Baywatch star said. “I talked to him on the phone the day [his internet] was shut off. He sent me an urgent call. And now, nothing.” Anderson also described their relationship, saying that they “talk about everything” and that the information he gives her about politics is “so overwhelming.” She insisted the WikiLeaks mastermind is hated by Hollywood “because of the Clinton monopoly on the media.” She also talked about her visits to the Kremlin to speak about animal welfare, and how she was reportedly invited to President Vladimir Putin’s inauguration “so that she could hand him flowers at the ceremony.” She added that she was once paid $500 to attend Donald Trump’s birthday party. “He was with a wife—I don't know which one—but he was nothing special,” Anderson said.
