Pamela Anderson, 57, star of the acclaimed movie The Last Showgirl, was snubbed for a Best Actress nomination on Thursday, but had a very gracious reaction. “Oh my gosh, it’s not something I ever expected. Doing the work is the win... we can lose sight of that sometimes in this whole crazy awards season, but it’s nice to be recognized, and it’s all a bonus,” she said, according to the New York Post. Anderson was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as a washed-up showgirl and a Screen Actor’s Guild Award, which she called “really cool.” Anderson had high praise for the Showgirl script, saying, “I’ve never read a script that I responded to like that before—no one was sending me anything like this. I read it and I thought, I have to do this. It’s life or death. It’s really important.”
