Participating in Sofia Coppola’s film The Bling Ring has been a learning experience for Paris Hilton, who never noticed that she was robbed by the now-infamous teenage bandits six times. “Sofia told me so many things I didn’t know,” said Hilton, who made a cameo appearance in the movie and lent her home out for filming. “I didn’t know they tried to take my dog. I didn’t know they were selling my things on Venice Boardwalk.” The movie—which was filmed nearly five years after Hilton was first robbed—has also inspired the famous heiress to be a little more cautious, making sure not to tweet her whereabouts and outfitting her home with an advanced security system.
