The Falcons pulled ahead of the Patriots early, running up a 25-3 lead at one point, before the Patriots scored 25 consecutive points to tie the game at the end of regulation time. The Patriots scored a touchdown early in overtime, ending the game. The win is the fifth Super Bowl title for the Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady, making Brady the only quarterback to win five times.
