Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort’s personal assistant gave the FBI access to Manafort’s Virginia storage locker, where he was keeping materials he wanted to “suppress,” according to testimony at a court hearing. Reuters reports that at the Friday hearing, FBI special agent Jeff Pfeiffer testified that Alex Trusko told him Manafort had moved records from his residence into the unit. The FBI first became aware of the locker through reporters. Manafort faces charges in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, including money laundering and witness tampering. He will first head to trial in July for a case in Virginia.
