Ron Paul's latest endorsement comes from a Baptist pastor known for his vehement opposition to homosexuality. The Rev. Voddie Baucham has condemned President Obama's support of the gay and lesbian community's fight against AIDS—declaring that "sodomites, who are in large part responsible for the introduction and spread of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, are praised for responding to this plague in an attempt to avoid annihilation." Baucham's support is highly valued by the Paul campaign, as the Texas representative has been pushing hard for evangelical votes. In doing so, however, it seems it's explicitly been seeking out the extreme fringe. In December, Paul boasted the endorsement of the Rev. Phillip G. Kayser, a Nebraska pastor who's promoted the death penalty for gays.
