Following the release of a damning report on Penn State’s handling of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal, the school’s Board of Trustees is getting together Friday afternoon. Though it’s technically unclear whether the group is meeting to discuss the contents of the report, Trustee Kenneth Frazier, who’s in charge of the committee addressing the Sandusky scandal, said on Thursday that the board is “deeply ashamed” by the report’s revelations. He acknowledged that all of the boards members as well as university administrators are responsible for letting inappropriate behavior go on and promised to do whatever to make sure that an “event like this can never happen again in the Penn State Community.”
