Pod Save America host Jon Lovett and Crooked Media chief of staff Ari Schwartz announced their engagement on social media over the weekend. In a joint post on Instagram Saturday, the couple shared a photo showing off Lovett’s dog, Pundit, with the caption: “Exciting news: I got a dog. This dog. Because we got engaged.” Schwartz and Lovett initially went public with their relationship in September 2024 through an Instagram photo dump capturing their date at the Minnesota State Fair. Lovett was previously engaged to journalist Ronan Farrow, whom he was in a relationship with from 2011 to 2023. He founded Crooked Media in 2017 alongside his fellow podcast hosts and Obama administration alums Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor. Meanwhile, Schwartz joined the company as a programming and production coordinator in 2021, before being promoted to chief of staff two years later in April. Prior to working at Crooked, Schwartz worked for New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s congressional campaign.
