Montreal police on Wednesday met with the family of a Chinese student who was dismembered and then his body parts sent to various addresses in Ottawa in a case that has shocked the whole country. Luka Rocco Magnotta, a porn actor, allegedly stabbed Jun Lin, 33, with an ice pick and dismembered the body—and is believed to have filmed the gruesome incident. Magnotta was arrested in Berlin on Monday, after he allegedly mailed parts of the body to various offices in Ottawa. Lin’s family traveled from China to meet with police and officials at Concordia University, where Lin was a student, and a fellow student said he had understood only one phrase from Lin’s family: “We came to take you home now.” Montreal police on Wednesday also confirmed that believe Magnotta is related to a case where a human foot and hand were mailed to Vancouver schools.
