A small, private funeral was held for Marvel comics mogul Stan Lee, but his company reportedly said it had other memorial plans in the works, the Associated Press reports. “Stan was always adamant that he did not want a large public funeral, and as such his family has conducted a private closed ceremony in accordance with his final wishes,” Lee’s company, POW! Entertainment, said in a statement Friday. The company also told the AP it was working on more further memorial plans and it hoped to share more details soon. “The grandeur of Stan makes this a monumental task,” the company said in a statement. The company reportedly set up an online memorial wall for him on his website, where fans can leave messages. The company also told the AP it would be sharing “messages from fellow creators and artists” on Lee’s social media pages in a coming days. Lee was rushed to the hospital from his home earlier this week and passed away, although no cause of death has been announced. The Marvel co-creator crafted some of the comic world’s most recognizable figures, and often made cameos in Marvel movies.
