At least two people are dead and several injured after a private plane crashed into three homes on Sunday in the northern Indiana neighborhood of South Bend, authorities and witnesses said. The Beechcraft Premier I twin-jet, which had taken off from Tulsa, Okla.’s Riverside Airport, had apparently been experiencing mechanical trouble. The total number of passengers aboard the plane has not been confirmed, and neither has the number or medical conditions of those injured. One witness said he saw the plane clip the top of one house, heavily damage the second, and finally become lodged in the third. A little boy who was in the kitchen of the third house escaped with only a nick on his forehead.
