ONE KID AT A TIME

Thirteen-times-a-dad Elon Musk has wryly embraced comparisons to Genghis Khan, the Mongol warlord who is estimated to be an ancestor of one in every 200 humans alive today.

Musk posted on his social network X that he found “the history of Genghis Khan particularly interesting” after comedian Shane Cashman posted that Musk and Khan shared “the same family values” in a quip highlighted by The Daily Beast.

Musk, 53, made the remark early Monday morning, after MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair, 26, announced Friday that Musk had fathered his 13th child with her.

President Donald Trump’s “first buddy” has not publicly acknowledged his paternity of the new baby, who St. Clair said was born five months ago.

Musk’s jolly take on his prolific reproduction habits Monday masked growing unease among conservative family values campaigners about his choices: MAGA cheerleader Laura Loomer, for example, said she would “rather die childless” than be a single mom.

Meanwhile, St. Clair publicly accused Musk of ignoring their child in a spat on X. The conflict has revived suspicions Musk is a careless father, a suggestion previously made by the singer Claire Boucher, known as Grimes.

Grimes is the mother of three of Musk’s children, including X, who was last seen sitting in the Oval Office having his chin chucked by Trump.

In November 2024, Grimes shared in a post on Instagram that she had not seen one of her children for five months, adding that she had “spent a year locked in battle in a state with terrible mothers rights having my Instagram posts and modeling used as reasons I shouldn’t have my kids.” She said Musk had become “unrecognizable to me” and noted she had a “a fraction of his resources.”

Another of Musk’s kids, Vivian Wilson, 21, has condemned Musk as a terrible father. Musk said Vivian, who is transgender, had been “killed” after transitioning.

St. Clair, a MAGA-aligned social media content creator, said last week that she delivered Musk’s baby last year.

Musk has not responded to her claim directly but responded to a post on X on Saturday from right-wing favorite Milo Yiannopoulos criticizing St. Clair as an opportunist who had set out to “ensnare Elon.”

St. Clair jumped into the thread, calling out the billionaire for failing to acknowledge their child.

“Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not responded,” she wrote in a since-deleted post, “When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?”

Musk replied, “Whoa.”

St. Clair told the New York Post that she has been “waiting for Elon to publicly acknowledge his parental role,” but added, “My hand was forced by the media to do this now.”

In another update on Musk’s complicated personal life, Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis, with whom Musk has three children and who appeared at inaugural events with him and recently at the White House, posted a photo of the couple’s twins on Saturday, captioning the post: “Lil loves of my life.”

Musk replied with a happy-faced emoji surrounded by hearts.
