A book pushing the pro-Trump conspiracy theory QAnon is now among the top 15 books sold on Amazon, NBC News reports. QAnon: An Invitation to The Great Awakening, which has no listed author, moved to the No. 14 slot by press time, and was even featured in the company’s algorithmically generated “hot new releases” section. It ranks No. 9 in all political books, and No. 1 in all books about “Censorship”—one slot ahead of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451. The book, which is listed at $17, makes a series of bizarre claims, including that prominent Democrats murder and eat children and that the U.S. government served as a catalyst behind several natural disasters. QAnon, the complex conspiracy theory that sprung from a series of cryptic clues anonymously posted online in October 2017, promises to reveal top-secret information through these veiled hints. The anonymous person behind the clues is known as “Q,” while “Anon” refers to both Q itself and Q’s nameless supporters, the “anons.”
