After 13 hours, nature calls. That’s what Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) learned in the first hours of Thursday morning when his filibuster of the nomination of John Brennan as director of the CIA ended at 12:39 a.m. because he had to use the bathroom. “I’ve discovered there are some limits to filibustering, and I’m going to have to take care of one of those in a few minutes,” he said. But speaking with Glenn Beck on Thursday, Paul said he thought of using a catheter to prevent the necessary bathroom break. “I did think about it,” he said. “I’ve put them in before, but I really decided against it.” Enjoy that mental image, and happy Thursday.
