Random House Launches BookScout App

Like. Publishing giant Random House has introduced a new Facebook app, called BookScout, that lets users see what books their friends are reading, as people share and recommend titles. When you sign up for the app, it will first recommend books to you based on your preferences and Facebook timeline. You can choose to share books you’re reading or recommend your favorites, or decide to mark a book “not interested.” Additional links will tell you more about the books, and you can also buy the titles from the major retailers. The app covers books from all publishers—not just Random House.
