Rapper Mac Miller died of an apparent overdose Friday at his home in California’s San Fernando Valley, according to law enforcement sources cited by TMZ.  The sources tell TMZ that officers found Miller dead in his home around noon, after a concerned friend called 911. The famous rapper had previously struggled with addiction: TMZ notes that after his breakup with singer Ariana Grande, Miller was arrested in May for a DUI and a hit and run. After his arrest, Grande reportedly tweeted, “Pls take care of yourself.” Many of his songs, especially those in his 2014 mixtape Faces, directly discussed drug abuse. Last night, TMZ added, Miller posted a video of a record player that was playing his song “So It Goes,” which includes the lyrics “Nine lives, never, die, fuck a heaven, I’m still gettin’ high.” He had planned to go on tour starting next month.
