Rashee Rice Was Driving 119 MPH Before Multi-Car Pile-Up, Police Say
SCARY
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was driving over 100 miles per hour in the moments before losing control of his vehicle and causing a pile-up last month, authorities said. An arrest affidavit said Rice had been driving his Lamborghini at 119 mph about 4.5 seconds before the accident occurred, the Dallas Morning News reported on Friday. At the time, Rice was allegedly racing Theodore Knox, who was driving a Corvette. Four people were injured in the incident, which occurred on a Dallas highway. Rice turned himself into police on Thursday, one day after the Dallas Police Department issued arrest warrants for the player. The 23 year-old football player faces eight felony counts, including aggravated assault and collision involving serious bodily injury. Rice has been released on a $40,000 bond, according to the New York Post. Rice is being represented by Texas state Sen. Royce West, who said his client “acknowledges his actions and feels deeply for those injured as a result of this accident.”
