While speaking Monday at the Boston Lawyers chapter of the Federalist Society, Attorney General Jeff Sessions responded harshly to a man who interrupted his speech and called on him to repent, according to a tweet from ABC News. “Brother Jeff, as a fellow United Methodist I call upon you to repent, to care for those in need, to remember that when you do not care for others, you are wounding the body of Christ,” the man said, after reciting a Bible verse. “Well, thank you for those remarks and attack,” Sessions responded, “but I would just tell you we do our best every day to fulfill my responsibility to enforce the laws of the United States.” As a second man stood up to recite a similar speech, he was met with jeering and cries of “go home!” from other attendees.
