Born and raised in Philadephia, PA, Grace Kelly grew to become an Old Hollywood legend -- a woman practically synonymous with glamour. As an actress, Kelly was known for her work in Rear Window, To Catch a Thief, and High Society, and her Academy Award-winning performance inThe Country Girl. Kelly met Prince Rainier III at the Cannes Film Festival in 1955, and at age 26, she retired from acting to become Princess of Monaco. The James A. Michener Art Museum in Kelly's hometown will honor her legacy with a new exhibit, From Philadelphia to Monaco: Grace Kelly, Beyond the Icon. The retrospective highlights aspects from Grace's life roles as both a Hollywood legend and the Princess of Monaco, featuring unseen palace archives including film clips, the Princess's own objects and accessories, movie costumes, notes and letters she exchanged with her husband and celebrities such as Alfred Hitchcock. The exhibit is on display October 28, 2013 until January 26, 2014.
