Report: Afghan Interpreter for U.S. Killed Every 36 Hours

One Afghan is killed every 36 hours in the country, due to an American affiliation or aiding the U.S. as an interpreter, Politico reports. And according to the study, conducted in 2014, more than 1,000 interpreters were killed in Iraq alone that year. When U.S. officials left Iraq, Iraqis who’d helped U.S. and NATO forces were among the first to be killed. Even now, Taliban in Afghanistan are actively targeting Afghan interpreters working for the U.S.
