Well, Ann, at least you get to sleep in now. The New York Times is reporting that NBC executives are making moves to replace Curry, who took over for Meredith Vieira in 2011, as cohost of Today with Matt Lauer. Curry, who spent 14 years at the news desk for the show before assuming her anchor chair, is said to be a polarizing figure on Today and rumored to have not had a good relationship with Lauer, the show’s star, on set. Some have blamed her for the ratings drop, including weeks earlier this spring that Good Morning America beat out Today. Curry has hired well-known attorney Robert Barnett to represent her in her exit negotiations.
