Police have arrested the founder and second-in-command of a warehouse where 36 people died in a December 2 fire. According to Oakland's ABC7 News reports, Derick Almena, the founder of the artist warehouse Ghost Ship, and his business partner Max Harris were arrested Monday, and face criminal charges related to the deadly fire. Ghost Ship, an Oakland warehouse where artists lived and worked, caught fire during an unlicensed concert in December, trapping a number of attendees inside the building, which was crowded and lacked proper exits. The building's managers came under scrutiny in the aftermath of the blaze, when it was revealed that the warehouse was in violation of numerous fire codes.
