Greece’s political leaders must reach an agreement by Monday as to who will head the country’s interim government, said Elias Mossialos, a spokesman for Papandreou's ruling Socialist Party, on state TV Sunday. He said there was “common ground” between the ruling Socialists and the New Democracy Party and that the beginnings of the deal could be worked out by Sunday evening. His remarks come after a week of economic turmoil threatened the country’s EU bailout, climaxing in a narrow win for Papandreou in a confidence vote on Saturday morning.
