White House Communications Director Hope Hicks reportedly told the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday that she sometimes has to lie for President Donald Trump. The New York Times reports Hicks said, though, that she hasn’t lied about issues surrounding the Russia investigation. During her eight-hour testimony, Hicks—at the request of the White House—refused to answer questions about the presidential transition period as well as about Trump’s presidency. She would only answer questions relating to her role on Trump’s presidential campaign.
