Documents filed by Dr. Luke in an ongoing defamation case against Kesha have revealed a new allegation that the music producer refutes: that he raped Katy Perry. According to documents obtained by The Blast, the allegation comes in a text message from Kesha to Lady Gaga sent February 26, 2016. “Following this text message conversation, and with [Kesha’s] encouragement, [Lady Gaga] spread negative messages about [Luke] in the press and on social media,” the filing claims. Luke subpoenaed Gaga to submit the text message and testify in the case in July 2017. Perry also submitted a deposition, according to the documents; she has not publicly accused Luke. The documents also claimed Kesha’s allegations of being drugged and raped by Luke are false.
