Report: Magazine Disinvited Monica Lewinsky From Event Because Bill Clinton Was Attending

Town & Country magazine reportedly disinvited Monica Lewinsky from an event they were holding because Bill Clinton had decided to attend, according to The Huffington Post. Lewinsky alluded to the situation in a tweet Wednesday, writing “please don’t invite me to an event (esp one about social change) and ―then after i’ve accepted― uninvite me because Bill Clinton then decided to attend/was invited. It’s 2018.” She also said the magazine “insulted” her by attempting to “ameliorate” her with an “an offer of an article[.]” Town & Country hosted an event on Wednesday, where Bill Clinton introduced Parkland shooting survivor Emma Gonzalez. Attendees told HuffPost that Lewinsky was disinvited, but the magazine did not return requests for comment.
