CIA Director Mike Pompeo reportedly traveled to North Korea earlier this month and met with Kim Jong Un. According to The Washington Post, the meeting was “part of an effort to lay the groundwork” for an expected summit between President Donald Trump and the North Korean leader. Pompeo has been nominated to be Trump’s next secretary of state and is currently under Senate consideration.
