Special counsel Robert Mueller wants to ask President Trump “least four-dozen questions” in his probe into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign and possible collusion between Trump affiliates and Russian actors, according to a list obtained by The New York Times. The questions include a series of open-ended ones about former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, former FBI Director James Comey, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions. There are also questions about some notable events—including Flynn’s phone calls to former Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak, the January 2017 Comey dinner, the recusal of Jeff Sessions from the Russia investigation, the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting, and the 2017 Seychelles meeting involving Blackwater’s Erik Prince. The questions specifically address various tweets by the president, such as one alluding to “tapes” of conversations with Comey and another criticizing Sessions for his stance on “Hillary Clinton crimes.” The publication of the list of questions comes after The Daily Beast reported that interview negotiations between Trump and Mueller for an interview “continue.”
