Report: North Korea Unlikely to Denuke, But Could Open Burger Joint

A new CIA analysis reportedly concludes that North Korea does not intend to denuclearize, a key aspect of the Trump administration’s negotiations with Pyongyang. “Everybody knows they are not going to denuclearize,” an official who read the CIA analysis told NBC News. The report also states that officials believe it is possible that Kim Jong Un would open up a “Western hamburger franchise.” Despite President Donald Trump’s statement last week calling off the June 12 summit with Kim in Singapore, it appears that the meeting might still happen, as American officials continue to plan the logistics. Over the weekend, U.S. officials were in North Korea for talks, and Kim’s right-hand man traveled to New York. He is due to meet with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
