President Trump’s personal pilot is in the running to head the Federal Aviation Administration, Axios reports. John Dunkin, Trump’s “longtime personal pilot” who flew him around the country during his 2016 campaign, has interviewed for the position. Trump has reportedly expressed his desire for Dunkin to run the agency, which oversees all U.S. civil aviation, to “a host of administration officials and associates.” According to administration sources, Dunkin is qualified due to his experiences in managing “airline and corporate flight departments.” One source told Axios that “[Dunkin is] on the list because he’s the president’s pilot, but if he gets the job it won’t be because he’s the president’s pilot.”
