Keith Davidson, the lawyer who first represented two alleged mistresses of President Trump is now cooperating with federal authorities in the investigation of Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.

“Mr. Davidson has been contacted by the federal authorities regarding the Michael Cohen probe in the Southern District of New York. Mr. Davidson was asked to provide certain limited electronic information. He has done so and will continue to cooperate to the fullest extent possible under the law,” Dave Wedge, a spokesman for Davidson, wrote in a statement to The Daily Beast. The news was first reported by the Washington Post.

This comes two weeks after news broke that the FBI had raided Michael Cohen’s office––a tough tactic most associated with mob lawyers.

Davidson has a reputation for being the man to call when the opposing party can’t really say no. Most recently, he represented a former Playboy model who was allegedly impregnated during an extra-marital affair with Elliott Broidy, a prominent investor and donor to the Republican National Committee. The woman, who reportedly terminated the pregnancy, was paid $1.6 million for her silence.

Davidson was also at the side of Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model who alleged she had a 10 month affair with Trump, when her story was bought by American Media Inc. for  $150,000. AMI killed the story and, according to McDougal, never came through with promises of a fitness column in the National Enquirer in return for the exclusive rights to the her account of her alleged affair with Trump.
