Report: Trump Wants Giuliani Partner for U.S. Attorney

The Trump administration is considering one of Rudy Giuliani's law partners to replace Preet Bharara as U.S. Attorney in New York's Southern District, BuzzFeed reported Monday. The White House has reportedly tapped Geoffrey Berman, a lawyer at the law firm Greenberg Traurig, where Trump insider Rudy Giuliani is a partner. The Southern District position is a powerful seat, with jurisdiction over New York City. Until his firing by the Trump administration in March, Bharara used the role to investigate Trump's health secretary Tom Price.
