Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson, President Donald Trump’s nominee to be the secretary of veterans’ affairs, could already be in trouble as he faces a Senate confirmation fight. The Senate’s veterans’ affairs committee “is investigating serious allegations against [Jackson] that could delay his hearing,” a source familiar with the matter told The Daily Beast. Jackson, who currently serves as the White House physician, is scheduled to appear before the committee on Wednesday. The nature of the allegations is unknown, but senators who sit on the committee are reviewing the information and are expected to make an announcement soon. A spokeswoman for the committee did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
