Woody Allen’s latest film, A Rainy Day in New York, has reportedly been shelved indefinitely by Amazon. Page Six reports the movie–starring Selena Gomez, Timothée Chalamet, Jude Law, and Elle Fanning—was supposed to be released in 2018 but now has no release date. “No release date has ever been set for the film,” Amazon, which spent $25 million on the movie, told the site. The project finished filming in fall 2017, before the #MeToo reckoning and the re-emergence of Allen’s daughter Dylan Farrow’s sexual-misconduct accusations against him. Allen has three movies left in his deal with Amazon, but that agreement is reportedly “in limbo” and Allen has no releases scheduled for 2019. Meanwhile, his company is said to be in talks with Paramount and Sony for original movie development.
